Meet with consultants to Jupiter Oxygen Corporation (JOC) Prof. Dr. Mintzer, Mrs. Amber Leonard and Jim Wolf, who are delegates of the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) at the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference in Marrakech.
The twenty-second session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) and the twelfth session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 12) will be held in Bab Ighli, Marrakech, Morocco from 7-18 November 2016.
On 5 October 2016, the threshold for entry into force of the Paris Agreement was achieved. The Paris Agreement entered into force on 4 November 2016. As a result, the first session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 1) will take place in Marrakech in conjunction with COP 22 and CMP 12, see conference info at http://newsroom.unfccc.int/cop22marrakechinformationhub/
Jupiter Oxygen is presenting its technology development during the side event “Taking the Clean Energy Transformation from Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to Action” on Tuesday, November 15 from 13:15 until 14:45. This event is organized by the International Council for Sustainable Energy (ICSE), the European Business Council for Sustainable Energy (e5), and the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute (GCCSI). Key note will be delivered by Lord Nicholas Stern, Professor of Economics and Government at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Member, GCCSI International Advisory Panel.
JOC’s oxy-combustion based carbon capture technologies in conjunction with CO2 utilization offer economic solutions to substantially mitigate CO2 emissions. Co-benefits from applying those technologies to fossil fuel power plants will be air pollutant control and CO2 recycling or permanent CO2 storage. Jupiter Oxygen is engaged in demonstration project activities in the U.S., China, and India.” .
