Steven Krimsky is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Jupiter Oxygen Corporation, a clean energy technology company whose mission is to participate in the reversal of the trend of climate change through its patented heat transfer technology (Oxy-Combustion for Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration) resulting in near zero emissions for fossil fueled power and manufacturing plants.
Steven’s passion for climate change led him to join Jupiter in 2016 to pursue Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) projects and initiatives which follows his work on providing technical and economic solutions for electrical power generating facilities. His primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of the development, implementation and operations of Jupiter’s CCUS projects. He is currently managing a feasibility study for a large CCUS demonstration project in Wyoming, actively pursuing CCUS opportunities in India and the U.S., and engaged in climate change initiatives domestically and internationally.
Steven has 30 years of experience in the power sector that includes coal, gas, nuclear and renewable technologies while specializing in business and project development, project management, engineering, and operations and maintenance. Steven is actively involved in CCUS initiatives for Electric Power Research Institute and the U.S. National Coal Council’s (NCC) clean energy initiatives. In January 2019, Steven was invited to join the NCC’s Chair’s Leadership Council.
Steven’s career spans multiple companies including Tennessee Valley Authority, Air Liquide, Duke Energy, Enron and Fluor Daniel. Steven received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Texas in Austin and Masters in Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. Steven is a registered Project Management Professional and Professional Engineer.
